Fortunately, there will soon be a solution to this problem that afflicts collectors world over. A London based web developer  and LEGO fan named Drew, who is better known as SilentMode in the LEGO community, will soon be launching Project Swapfig, a website where collectors and LEGO fans can come together to trade LEGO minifigures. LEGO Stores to Offer Up Exclusive Minifigures In May

Two exclusive minifigures will soon available at LEGO stores this May with a qualifying purchase. May 4 and 5th will see a promotion where a LEGO Star Wars purchase of more than $75 will net you an exclusive Han Solo minifigure in his famous Hoth attire. Spend $50 or more at the LEGO store from May 16th to the 31st and receive an Iron Man. vs Fighting Drone polybag. LEGO Star Wars recently saw the launch of the web series The Yoda Chronicles while the new film, Iron Man 3 to be released on May 3rd.

Venusaur Pokemon D-Arts Figure Announced

Another well known “Pocket Monster” from the original 151 Pokemon will soon have its own Bandai D-Arts figure. The grass/poison Pokemon Venusaur, who evolves from Bulbasaur and Ivysaur, will feature many points of articulation, as seen on similar D-Arts figures. The first Pokemon D-Arts figure, that of Mewtwo, was released on March 30th, 2013 while Charizard will be released in April of this year. Venusaur is set to be released in August, 2013 and will likely feature a similar price point of ¥3,990/$40, the same as the Charizard and Mewtwo D-Arts figures.

The iconic Japanese children’s character, Doraemon, will be making an appearance in Happy Sets (better known as Happy Meals in the United States) at McDonald’s Restaurants in Japan. The promotion will see McDonald’s offer up six different Doraemon toys with its Happy Sets. Doraemon, who is a robotic cat who promotes positive values, first made his appearance in Manga in 1969. Since then, he has since gone on to appear in three anime series and multiple movies as well, the latest of which was released this month.

Superman Fights The Good Fight In New Smallville Inspired LEGO Set

An image of a brand new LEGO DC Universe Superheroes set has been posted on British retailer Argos website. The set, 76003 Superman: Battle of Smallville, is based on on the upcoming Man of Steel movie, which is slated for a release on June 14th, 2013. Featuring five different minifigures, the set includes 418 pieces and is priced at $49.99. Expect to see the Battle of Smallville set, along with other Superman inspired LEGO sets available for sale prior to the release of the Man of Steel movie this Summer.

Galaxy Squad Summer Lineup To Feature Four New Sets

LEGO’s recently released aliens versus humans inspired theme will be continuing into the summer with four new set releases. The Galaxy Squad theme shares similarities with the Insectoid theme which was released in the 90s. The Galaxy Squad universe features four teams, Red, Blue, Green and Orange, each with its own particular strengths. LEGO Technic Design Competition Winner Announced

LEGO Technic Design Competition CO-Creation Model 41999

The winner of the LEGO Technic Design Competition, which ran from September 25th,2012 to December 31st,2012 has finally been announced. The competition challenged contestants to design a new body for the chassis of the 9398 4×4 Crawler set. Eventually, out of 100 finalists, the above design was chosen as the winner and will become the CO-Creation Model 41999 set. 20,000 of the CO-Creation Models will be produced, with 100 of those copies going to the 100 finalists of the competition.
